  • MOT testing

    Class 4

    Melksham Carcare Centre are a licensed MOT test centre in Melksham offering Class 4 MOT Testing from our approved test centre in Melksham.

    An MOT certificate will be granted to all vehicles that pass the test. Should your vehicle fail the MOT test, we are able to carry out any subsequent repairs necessary for the car to pass. We offer free retests and MOTs while you wait.

    A class 4 MOT test is applicable to cars, small vans, caravans, light commercial vehicles and Minibuses (with no more than 12 passenger seats). All of our work complies with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

    We can carry out all manner of vehicle repairs at our garage in Melksham. We have the skills and knowledge to repair all make of car and light van, as well as running engine diagnostics and brake checks.

    In addition to standard servicing and MOT testing, we can provide cambelts, wheel alignment, air conditioning and tow bars.

    We can supply and fit a wide range of exhausts to suit all vehicles, and we are pleased to offer FREE FITTING for exhausts, which can even be done while you wait.

We had 1 day before we had to check out of our accommodation in melksham so that we could make the ferry trip back to Ireland. Our car was overheating and I couldn't figure out why so I googled so many places and these guys were in the top 4 of places that people recommended. I drove into Melksham 1st thing in the morning and asked a few guys to look at the car and they all said they were too busy. The Car was starting to heat up fast so I rang Melksham Car Care centre and the lady answered the phone and as soon as I shared my predicament she told me to get over there and they would sort it. They had the car fixed in no time and were really professional but the thing that stood out the most for me and it's something I always look for is that they were genuinely honest people. A Melksham garage for nearly thirty years

Melksham Carcare Centre opened on February 1st 1997 with three members of staff. Within just 6 months the staff level rose to five to cope with the extra business.

Today the garage is run by Chris Fortt and the team, from the same workshop on Station Approach, servicing and repairing all makes of petrol and diesel car and light van.
